fill Custom Machinery For The Automotive Industry fill

At ASAP our diversified approach towards the Automotive sector has enabled us to manufacture automation equipment specific to this industry.

fill Robot Cells fill

A robot cell is a complete area containing a robot, robot controller, machining tools and equipment, infeed and outfeed conveying systems, and perimeter safety guarding.
ASAP has the knowledge and experience in all of these areas. Our history of machine building has allowed us to gain the skills needed to integrate all of these components into a unified system that can reliably operate 24 hour a day, 7 days a week.

fill Transfer Cells fill

Unlike a robot cell, a transfer cell uses an array of "miniature robots" to convey a part through a manufacturing process.
Whereas a robot cell uses a programmable generic robot that is capable of performing virtually any task, a transfer cell is made up of multiple basic robotic grippers that are designed specifically for the material being handled. These specialized grippers can pass the product from station to station. Although not as versatile as a group of standard robots, a specialized transfer cell is a much lower cost solution where multiple high cost robots would normally be required.

fill Inspection/Quality Control fill

ASAP has designed several models of in-line tube verification and inspection machines that perform automated quality control tests on your product at line speed.
Our tube verification and inspection machines are built with future expansion in mind. From a simple one station machine to a fully loaded machine that will verify and inspect all aspects of the tube, our machines are custom built to your specifications.
The machines use a walking beam design to transfer the parts through each inspection station. At each station a different test can be performed. The results of the test are compared against a programmable database of your product specifications. The tube is then marked as a pass or fail, and placed into the appropriate outfeed tray.
Testing stations can be as simple as a tube length check, or as complex as weld seam and pressure testing.
